I love that this theme works with Contact Form 7, but I’m a little disappointed that it also uses Visual Composer. I guess they’re calling it WPBakery Page Builder now. Whatever they call it, it doesn’t change the fact that the plugin drastically slows down the back end and I feel like most VC based sites load slower too. I guarantee they load slower than they would with a theme that’s not reliant on Visual Composer. Something like one of our free themes perhaps? hehe.
Strangely, Sukar is also BuddyPress ready, I guess if you wanted to build a community based around food, that’s a choice you could make. More features include bbPress, Bootstrap code, a full WooCommerce based shopping experience, Google fonts, Google maps, Yoast SEO support, simple and powerful theme options panel, social media integration, clean, minimalist and responsive design and a whole bunch more.
At $59 for a license, this theme is about average for ThemeForest. One interesting thing, this is the only product that One Touch Themes has on Theme Forest at the moment, thouygh they did have at least one other product up at some point. They have 400+ sales for their lifetime, but Sukar has yet to be downloaded. I guess that’s no big deal but it’s something I’ll keep my eye on in the future to see how this one does.
Checking out archive.org, looks like they had about 4 themes uploaded for a while, though all have since been removed. So, getting back into the WordPress game after having sat on the sidelines for a while, there’s no shame in that. Hopefully they learned some great stuff while they were away from ThemeForest.
